jop das wär ja mal interessant
-
Ich weis nicht, was ihr habt:
- schwarze Haube
- schwarzes Dach
- andere Felgen
- neuer ESD
- Xenon "lights"Sooooo doll ist das nun auch nicht.

Schaut aber gut aus. Und so viele in der Art gibt es halt nicht. Da darf man ruhig mal sabbern.

- Alcantara im Innenraum
- Parrot CK3500 GPS Freisprecheinrichtung
- JVC AVX1 DVD Headunit

More than 10 years later, I'm back to this forum! hahaha. The car has suffered two engine swaps. From the original ASZ TDI 130 to a BPX TDI 160 (in 2007). And the second one from BPX TDI 160 to BBU 1.8 20VT 180 (in 2011).
In this link you can see the entire process from the last swap (diesel to petrol engine)

And here is a compilation of the car's evolution since 2002 (actually updated 2002-2012. I have to upload the last updates...)

I will upload to this post some actual photos.
Kind regards guys!

Hi there
Really nice to see you back. Great history of your car, too. Keep us up to date. I'd love to see more.
Cheers

Hey,
Nice project, I have looked all the pictures from "car's evolution",
great job you have done there.Keep going

Still a lot of work to do, but looks good!
This broken 334mm R32 brake disc is insane
(https://www.flickr.com/photos/…/album-72157649943751980/)Do you fit the original air guide elements to the front wishbones?
(saved.im/mtg4njexow9s/img_0602.jpg)You can also cut the brake disc cover plates for better air flow to the brake discs.
(saved.im/mtc4mtq3bwlk/img_6945.jpgBigger rear brakes would reduce stress on the front brakes, I would go for 280x22mm rear discs (Golf 4 front discs) with epytec brakets (https://www.epytec.de/de/brems…mssattel-hinterachse?c=24) and Audi S3 8L or Golf 4 R32 rear brakes. Rear end will be a lot more settled on the brake down from higher speeds and into corners.
Maybe get a bigger master cylinder (https://www.facebook.com/media…5.1405829666375596&type=3) for short and stiff brake pedal feel. EDIT: Link fixed.
Did you keep the ASZ/BPX air filter box and use a Audi S3 80mm air flow meter?
Which diameter is your exhaust, looks like 60mm?
Sadly you don't get SuperPro wishbone bushes with caster correction, this helps a lot with traction on corner exit.
Did you fit all SuperPro bushes?Easy way for a lot more front end grip is a bit of extra camber at the front wheels, there are some wider ball joints for 0,5° negative camber (https://www.facebook.com/n89.m…album_id=1405863523038877). really cool stuff if you like fast cornering like we do
For some inspiration just keep an eye on my build thread

Hi Dorian,
I didn't know you were already registered here.
Nice to see you here. -
Hi again guys!
Now it's time to appreciate the @Nuerne89 recommendations xDD
Another front brake disc crack…
This happens past sunday on a trackday, after only 6 laps.
Now I'm looking for the pieces to upgrade my rear brakes to 256x22 (I have the OEM 232x9).
Which brake discs do you recommend to me? Preferably at an affordable price, hehe.
Extra stuff: My last onboard lap (not my best time on this circuit, but quite good to run on a broken brake disc hahaha)

Thank you all!

Well, 334mm 1-piece-rotors obviously don't resist too much heat tension. Try to get some not drilled OEM 2-piece rotors (Zimmermann).
http://saved.im/mtg2ode2nxb6/332mmr32.jpg
oem / aftermarket brake disc numbers:
left: 1J0 615 301 AA, 8N0 615 301 B / ATE 24.0132-0166.2, Zimmermann 100.3307.75
right: 1J0 615 302 A, 8N0 615 302 B / ATE 24.0132-0165.2, Zimmermann 100.3308.75Maybe they last ab bit longer. But the big mistake on your front brakes doesn't change: the brake discs friction ring is unequally heat stressed because of too small brake pads. this generate enormous heat tension in your discs.
Rear brake upgrade to 256mm disc with lucas c38 brake calipers (38mm brake piston diameter) only looks better than 232mm discs with lucas c41 brake calipers (41mm brake piston diameter, stock is c38).
brake force is nearly the same, because of bigger pistion on smaller disc. 232mm brake is lighter an cheaper. heat stability with sport brake pads is no problem.I would go for c41 calipers (~140€ for two calipers), oem 232x9mm disc and EBC Yellowstuff high friction brake pads (~80€).
this easy adds about 30-35% brake force at the rear without adding unsprung and rotation mass. -
Hey guys!
The car is not repaired yet! hahaha, because it is involved in a bigger project. A racecar project.
During this months I bought some car parts.
- Rear brake calipers from Skoda Octavia RS 1.8T (for upgrade to 256 mm disc)
- Brembo Max 312x25 brake discs
- Brembo Max 256x22 brake discs
- Ferodo DS3000 front brake pads
- Ferodo DS2500 rear brake pads
- Big master cylinder kit (23,81 mm Ø) by N89motorsport
- Guide pins for the Skoda Octavia RS brake calipers by N89motorsportThe interior's car are fully naked, ready to receive a full welded rollcage by @ ASTrollcages. And just ordered a Fast and Furious rear wing bu BYC Designs UK hahaha.
